SATURDAY READING ROOM

Let’s READ! We have recently revamped our Saturday READing Room to meet the needs of our youngest READers. The READing Room takes place on 24 Saturdays per year and is open to 1st and 2nd graders who need reading support. A group of 8 READers will meet for one hour each Saturday at either our Boerum Hill and Bed-Stuy location and will work on building their phonemic awareness, letter/sound knowledge, and fluency skills with a READ 718 instructor and two volunteer helpers. 

Saturdays from October 18, 2025 — May 16, 2026

Two time slots: 10:00-11:00 and 11:30-12:30 at our Boerum Hill location (420 Atlantic Avenue) AND our Bed-Stuy location (336 Malcolm X Blvd).

Children will be assessed and the results will determine the time slot.

The fee for the Saturday READing Room is $150 for the entire year.
