Our READ 718 After School program is READ 718’s core remediation program and is designed for children in grades 3-8 who are reading below grade level.

READ 718 Remote was born out of necessity during the pandemic, but it has proven to be successful in providing children in grades 3-8 the same instruction as our core After School program, but on Zoom.

The READing Room takes place on 8 Saturdays per cycle (fall, winter, spring) and is open to 1st and 2nd graders who need reading support.

READ 718’s Summer READing Room is a 6-week program from July 7-August 14, 2025 that offers students entering grades 3-8 the opportunity to practice fundamental reading skills, promote engagement in reading, and prevent “summer slide.” READers will be paired with a volunteer tutor who they will meet with twice per week for one hour.

READ Up is offered to our current READers who have difficulty decoding words and will benefit from systematic, sequential phonics instruction.

READ 718 regularly offers educational workshops for families, our volunteers, and other community members. All are welcome! These workshops are led by experts in education and cover a range of topics.
